Hi I'm Millie

I'm from Colorado and I am currently studying to be a radiation therapist. I love to laugh and be active. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the second oldest of 5 children and my family means everything to me! I love to spend time with people that I love and I love to learn. I am currently a radiologic technologist I take x-rays and I am headed for school as a radiation therapist. I love to exersize and challenge my body with tae bo, hiking, yoga, etc. I love life and I have a great desire to live it to it's fullest!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that is the nickname of the true church of Jesus Christ. I didn't always know that though. I was raised in a home where my parents faithfully taught me the gospel, but as I grew up I wanted to experience more of the world and make my own decisions, so I did. I left the church and followed my own path, thinking that I knew better. When my decisions caused me and others that I cared about pain, I felt great remorse for my decisions and realised that I really did need the Saviour in my life. I changed my life and continue to each and everyday to make my life and actions more in line with Jesus Christ. The joy that came over me as a result of this experience was indescribable, and I desparately wanted others to experience what I had. So, with the help of family, friends and the Lord, I made the decision to serve as a full time missionary. It was during my time in the service of the Lord that I really found out for myself that the Book of Mormon was in fact the word of God. I read it, and prayed and asked God myself if it was true. I love the Book of Mormon and I know that it is inspired of God. I am grateful to the prophet Josph Smith for being humble and willing enough to sacrifice himself to bring it forth, so that millions could come to know Jesus Christ in a more profound and personal way. I know that anyone who reads it, with a real desire to know if it's true, will be answered by a loving God if they ask Him in prayer.

How I live my faith

I am so grateful for all of the opportunites there are in the church to serve and help! I currently attend a congregation of young single adults, ranging from ages 18-30. I help arrange service activities for us to participate in the community, and in the past I have been a full time missionary in England, and served in a presidency in the church's womens organization that takes care of the needs of the women in the congregation. Besides these more formal opportunites, I live my faith by striving to be a friend to every person that I meet. I try to put a smile on someone's face everyday and look for opportunites to help others. I try to do things that would make the Saviour smile at me. I do it because I truely love Jesus Christ, and though I know it's impossible to repay Him for His gift of salvation, I want to try the best I can to tell Him thank you by following Him.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

We have great love and respect for Joseph Smith, and we are so grateful for all that he did, but we do not worship him. We only worship God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ. Show more Show less

What is the Book of Mormon?

The Book of Mormon is another witness to the world that Jesus is the Christ. It was written from about 600 BC to 400 AD in the ancient Americas by prophets that lived there. It is not a replacement for the Bible, but reinforces the teachings found there. Together the Bible and the Book of Mormon contain the fullness of Christ's gospel and show that Christ loves all of His people. It is also the evidence that the Priesthood of God or God's authority was restored to the earth by the prophet Joseph Smith. Show more Show less
