Hi I'm James

I'm a track/cross country runner, I love music, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love sports, I am going to University to be a physical therapist. My friends and family are most important to me. I was born and raised a Texan and very proud of it. I am a certified Scuba diver and that is one of my most favorite things to do. Along with being a track/cross country runner I was a band geek in high school. I played the trumpet. I don't play anymore but that is were I would say I learned to love music.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church but I like to tell people I am a convert. I always went to church with my parents because thats what they wanted me to do. When I went to University I had to take a religion class so I chose to take a Book of Mormon class. For this class I had to read the whole book. During that semester I read the Book of Mormon three or four times. Every time I read it, it became more and more true. I could just feel the spirit testify to me that it was true. I don't know if I ever just sat and prayed about it but I think I always had a little prayer in my heart and it was being answered. I was able to serve a mission because of this knowledge. I know that this church is true and it has made me make a big change in my life for the better. I am grateful for this knowledge.

How I live my faith

I was able to serve a mission and share this gospel with people everyday. I got to travel around British Columbia Canada for two years and share my testimony with people and help them make the changes in their life that they wished to have. It was so wonderful becuase I got to see people become closer to Jesus Christ everyday through the knowledge that they received through the Holy Ghost. I also got to do tons of service for others. Now it can be hard to do this since I am going to a school where most people are members. I do try to share my experiences with other and strengthen others in their testimony of the gospel.

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

The missionaries will share with you the messege of the Restoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. They will tell you about Joseph Smith. They will share with you about the Nature of God, our relationship to Him, how we can communicate with Him, and how He will listen to, and answer out prayers. They will talk about the plan of salvation which anwers where did we come from, why are we here, and where will we go after. They will also talk about faith in Jesus Christ, repentance, Baptism, recieving the gift of the Holy Ghost and enduring to the End. Most of all they will talk about Christ's Atonement and how we can apply it in our lives.  Show more Show less
