Hi I'm Heidi

I love spending time with my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in San Diego, California. My parents joined the church when I was 6 years old. I am the oldest of six children. I love being a mother. I have six children and three grandchildren, with one due later this year. I enjoy watching my children at their sports activities, softball and volleyball. I love reading and usually have three books going at one time. A few of my favorite things to do are gardening, riding my bike, camping with my family, and playing volleyball with friends twice a week.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents joined the church when I was very young, but I have learned throughout my youth and adult years how important the teachings of the gospel of Jesus Christ is to my happiness. Staying active as an Latter-Day Saint has helped me, hopefully, be a better mother and member of my family. I feel that I have grown spiritually and emotionally. I want to be more loving, kind, and patient. As a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, I feel I can be a better member of society, to give service to others and be a better neighbor. I know that God lives, that Jesus Christ is His only Begotten Son. I know that Heavenly Father knows me, personally. He knows my strengths and weaknesses. I know He loves me and wants me to return to live with Him. I want to show my love for Him by being obedient, charitable, patient, and kind, by loving and serving His children. I want to be with my precious family for all eternity. I know Jesus Christ is our Savior and Redeemer. He suffered and died for my sins, just as for all who will repent. I believe in the cleansing power of His Atonement. I pray that I will be worthy of His love and sacrifice.

How I live my faith

I feel that I live my faith one day at a time. I try to be a good example and have a positive outlook on life. I am very involved with my family and in the activities at church. I have been a Sunday School teacher for adults and young children. I have been involved in service activites for the community such as cleaning graffiti and helping to feed the hungry. I feel that as I stay active in uplifting and charitable services I do live my faith. I can be a better example of what a disciple of Christ should be.
