Hi I'm Matt

I love the out doors. I wish I had super powers. and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the second of five boys in my family. I grew up in Utah. I love the out doors, anything like hunting, fishing, backpacking, camping, IM ALL OVER THAT! I love the mountians in Utah, During the winter i spend a lot of my time Shredding in the Greatest Snow on EARTH! In the mountains i feel we are able to witness the beauty of all the things that God has created. I have many hobbies, my friends and family say too many. Some of which include motors, i love classic cars, motorcycles, anything that goes fast! Mountain Biking, rock climbing, airsoft, paintball, Sky diving, BASE Jumping. Anything I can get my hands on that I can afford. I love all sports really. Just being active is a great way for me to stay out of trouble, although at times it turns my moms stomach in knots

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because i have gained a testimony, through study and prayer, that Jesus is the Christ. That God has agian called a prophet on the earth, Joseph Smith, to reveal truths that have been lost for centuries. That he now communicates to our living prophet today, President Thomas S. Monson, and that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is gods kingdom, the only true and living church, once again restored to the earth, preperatory to the second coming of Christ. Through teachings of prophets and apostles, along with personal experiences, I have come to understand the Atonement of Jesus Christ. Through his grace I am able to change daily. I am so greatful to have the fulness of the gospel so that I can apply the Atonement in my life daily, and come to know my Father in Heaven. The biggest reason I am a mormon... Well.. its true. What I want and think dont matter. It is true, and God has spoken it.

How I live my faith

Living life as a mormon is not an easy task. There is no one step and your done, your good to go to heaven. We understand that we must continue to be "steadfast in our faith in christ" and repent till the day we die. I live my faith by continuing to learn, and strive to understand and live the gospel of Jesus christ which is faith, repentace, baptism, recieving the gift of the holy ghost and enduring to the end. Through my experience i know that nothing brings greater joy in life than LIVING this gospel, established by Jesus Christ! As members of the church we coventant, or promise, that we will live at all times and in all places as witnesses of Christ. This is not just in word, because most of the times "Your actions speak so loud I can not hear you". It is the life of a diciple, it requires sacrifice, and there is nothing better! I strive every day, to be that witness of him. To live as an example of the believers, so that anyone who sees me, knows that I am a follower of Chirst.

What do Mormons believe concerning the doctrine of grace?

Yes, we believe in the doctrine of grace. We are saved by grace, we are cleansed through the grace and mercy of Jesus christ. Without grace we have no chance of salvation. However, we do not recieve grace simply by sitting around doing nothing. If we did, there would be no point in any records of scripture or the commandments or anything like that. Scriptues would simply say, "believe in Jesus Christ, you are saved by grace." We do not earn our way into heaven through our works, it is only by grace that we are saved. But it is through our works that we qualify to recieve that grace according to the standards that god himself has set forth by the mouth of his holy prophets. As we live by the laws of god, we will recieve grace and be cleansed from our sins, and live with god again Show more Show less
