Hi I'm Jason

I love to have fun, laugh, and do stuff. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am from the place that never sees snow. I grew up in the church as well as in Baptist and Methodist churches. I come from a divorced family. I have a firm testimony in the Gospel of Jesus Christ and of our Savior and his Atonement(which was the sacrifice he made for all of us). I know that God has once again called a prophet just like in times of old. Along with my faith I have many hobbies, which include, playing video games, sports, running, drawing, guitar, swimming and singing. I also like cooking stuff for people and doing funny stuff that makes people laugh.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon for many reasons. While growing up in this church and with the other churches, I became greatly confused. I noticed a difference in the Church of Jesus Christ than in the others. Mainly, I felt like I drew closer to my Savior, and began to know more about him and his life, ministry, and mission when I came to this church and by reading the Book of Mormon and the Bible side by side. But most importantly of all, it came by prayer through a trying time in my life: My grandfather had died of cancer when I was 12 to 13, he was my closest relative. I treasured the summers I got to spend with him in Tennessee and always looked forward to them. When he died, I felt as if I would never see him again. It was at that time that I really began to take note of the Plan of Salvation(or the plan our Heavenly Father has for us) and I prayed to know the truth. As I did, I began to feel...good. As if all was not lost. I began to know, not guess, that I would see my grandfather again. Next came the Book of Mormon and ever since then my testimony has become firmer and firmer of the truthfulness of this work and the church. I know it is true, with all my heart and soul.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by following the prophet, helping out my brothers and sisters whenever they need it, studying the scriptures and the words of the Savior. I am serving a mission to show my love for the Lord and for my fellow bretheren. I firmly believe in the promises made for keeping the commandments and so I do my best to follow them. And when I fall short, I repent and believe the Lord will forgive me and strive to do better.

What blessings can you receive from reading the Book of Mormon, the Bible, and other scriptures?

I can say that for myself, the blessings I receive from reading the Scriptures I have drawn closer to my Savior and Father in Heaven. I am able to discern the Spirit more which helps when I go out to do my day to day life choices. I also just receive intelligence from on high. I know that sounds weird but I do feel I get smarter whenever I read the scriptures. Test it out and you'll see what I am talking about. Show more Show less
