Hi I'm Jordan Terai Raihauti

I'm a Missionary. Music and Art are my passions. I am addicted to sports and sleep. I am a Mormon and Proud of it.

About Me

I am Tahitian!! I was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah. I am 19 turning 20.. And I've been called to serve in the Papeete, Tahiti Mission. I am "home" and learning the language of my forefathers. I love doing many things and am always willing to try something new. A few passions of mine is Art whether it be painting, drawing, or graphic design on a computer. Music, i really like singing and learning how to play new instuments. Writing, for the most part poetry, though I do like to create stories that are out of this world. And last but definately not the least, Sports, just about every sport thats out there. I have 2 brothers who are my world and my life.. And By serving a mission I push myself to become a strong example to follow.. Not perfect, but "almost'. jk One quote that I love is: "Life isn't measured by how many breaths you take in Life, It is measured by how many times life takes your breath away..." Now Try and take my breath away. -Anonymous

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in the church. But I didn't always hae a testimony. But by the grace of God he showed me the path I much follow. Of which I prepared myself to go on a mission. And to follow the wonderful examples before me. Such as my wonderful grandparents on both my mother's and father's side, my parents, as well as the great friends that the Lord has blessed me with. As for now I am a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and I couldn't any prouder. I serve in the land of my fore-fathers in the South Pacific, in the islands of Tahiti. There isn't a greater blessing than to serve my people of whom I love.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by following the many commandments and words of wisdom that we've recieved from the many latter-day prophets. I also live it by fulfilling the calling to be a full-time missionary. But, the biggest way, atleast for me, is being an example to those around me especially to my two younger brothers. I live my faith by pushing myself to read my scriptures, to pray everyday, and to continue to do my best to become like Jesus. Like it says in the Bible in James 2:17-18 "Faith without Works is dead."

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

Jordan Terai Raihauti
A testimony is best described in the Tahitian language. "Iteraa Papu" Which means "sure knowledge". A testimony is this "sure knowledge" That Jesus is the Christ; that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ lives and the love us with all of their heart. It is knowing in yourself that these teachings that Jesus has taught us are true; That God nad Jesus Christ literally called Joseph Smith to become a prophet to restore everything that was lost. It's knowing in yourself without any physical reference that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is really the God's Kingdom here on Earth. Show more Show less
