Hi I'm Jen

I have moved 17 times in my 19 years, I have six brothers and one sister, and I am a Mormon

About Me

Hey. I am going to school and working parttime. I love cooking, singing, planting, reading a good book, and going to park with my younger brothers. Currently I am studying American Sign Language and I love it. Some of my favorite movies are Tangled, The Princess and the Frog, Pirates of the Caribbean, and Lord of the Rings. Some of my favorite books are The Hobbit, Lord of the Rings, Rangers Apprentice series, the Chronicles of the Imaginarium Geographica, the Eragon series, the Inkheart series, The Angles Command, Daughter of a King, and My dear Sisters. My favorite kind of music is Country but I will listen to almost anything, except rap, that is appropriate.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day saints for all of my life. At first I just went through the motions of being LDS, getting baptized, going to church so on and so forth. It wasn’t until my teen years that I really learned for myself the truth of the Gospel, but that was a sad and hard experience. My brother left the church and shortly after my dad did too. I went through my teen years having to ask others for a blessing and not being able to feel close to the brother that I had been closest to for all my younger years. But it was at that time that I learned one of the most important truths that solidified my testimony in the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints that was when I learned that God loved me and that He was listening to my prayers and knew of what I wanted. God gave me the strength to be my mother’s helper during that time and He granted me a peace of heart when I grew concerned about my dad’s or brother’s welfare. I am glad to say after many years of fasting and praying that both my brother and my father have come back to the church, my dad was even able to go to my eldest brother’s wedding in the temple. Through seeing their struggles and not calling on god or not having the faith to come back and enjoy His love taught me the true meaning of faith and increased my faith. I began to learn for myself that the church was true and gain a testimony of Gods eternal plan of happiness. I know that God is out there, a being of magnificence and love. I know that He loves me and that he loves you too. I know that Joseph Smith was the prophet to restore the church of Christ here on earth. I know that when we rely on the Lord we will feel his love and he will help us, it may not be when we want it or how we want it but He will. I know that Pres. Monson is the prophet today and that he lead the church in righteousness, if he did not god would take him away from office and put a more worthy man in. I know that the family is the center of Gods plan and that eternal families are both a responsibility and a blessing of being here on earth. I know that I am a Daughter of god and that I have a divine roll of sisterhood, daughterhood and in time wifehood and motherhood. I know that these are divine callings of my Heavenly Father and that He will assist me in all the good things that I do. I bear these things to you and to the world, I am a Mormon and I believe.

How I live my faith

Every month I go out to see some girls, members or not, and just checkon how they are doing. At the end of every month I contact a certain number of girls to see if they have done the same thing. i am the girl at school who my friends/aquaintances know that i am a mormon.
