Hi I'm Austin

I am a student at Brigham Young University. I am studying Spanish, and enjoying life as a student. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I really enjoy learning. My parents built the foundation of that love and it has just blossomed and extended to enjoying learning something new from many many subjects. In fact I took six AP classes my Senior Year to learn Chemisty, Physics, Statistics, Phsychology, Spanish, and English and they just helped me survive the load I placed upon myself. They were there as I was studying past midnight with my friends and they were there as I studied the days away. I am so thankful that they did not hold me back from fulfilling my desires to learn, but rather have just helped me and are still there to help me as much as they can though I have gone to college. Thus, I am fulfilling my desires to satisfy my thirst for knowledge at Brigham Young University. I have already enjoyed taking several classes including a wonderful linguistics class. And now I am taking a few Spanish courses, a music course, a history course, and a religion course. It is wonderful to get to know more about the various Spanish cultures and I love learning to understand people better as well. As I learn to understand others better I learn how to learn more, and I thoroughly enjoy it.

Why I am a Mormon

I have had the great experience of growing up in the gospel. This has allowed me to experience the Spirit at a young age and just continue to feel it ever since. Through this constant witness of the Holy Ghost I know that I belong to the church Jesus Christ restored to the Earth through his prophet Joseph Smith and continues to lead currently through his prophet Thomas S. Monson. I know they receive revelation for our day. I know that we may also receive revelation for ourselves as we pray “...with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ...” I have proved Moroni's promise of which I just quoted a fragment of and I have received a witness of these things. In the name of Jesus Christ amen.

How I live my faith

As I have just moved out to return to college I am just getting to know some of the people that are around me. I am becoming their friend and I am especially seeking to get to know those for whom I should watch over as their home teacher. I look forward to being a help and support for them as they learn they can count on me to help them. I, also, am continuing to participate in indexing, working on projects to make records containing facts about ancestors more easily searchable for those who desire to discover their family history. Family history is something that has really given me great joy as I was on the recipient end not too long ago having found some records about some of my ancestors. For me it is wonderful to discover facts about those who proceeded me and played such an important role in giving me the legacy I have.
