Hi I'm Nathan

I live in Washington. I manage foreign exchange risk. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love entrepreneurship, startups, spreadsheet modeling, database analysis, World War II history, cool technology, good books, tasteful humor, graphic design, business innovation, board games and France. But I especially love spending time with my family. I consider myself very fortunate to be the husband of a wonderful woman and the father of five amazing children. We live in a barn, a unique home we built on the Washington/Idaho stateline, where we are surrounded by trees, mountains, lakes and wildlife. I am a treasury manager for the world's largest manufacturer of meters, where my role is to help mitigate the financial risks associated with fluctuations in foreign exchange rates. Also, I am a volunteer helping individuals in our community to find employment.

Why I am a Mormon

There are two principal reasons why I am a Mormon. First, I believe that Jesus Christ is not only the Savior of the world, but also my personal Savior. I have faith in Him. He has made it possible for me to be forgiven for my sins. In this church which bears His name, I have felt His love and experienced His grace. Second, I want to be happy. Happiness comes from making good choices, keeping the commandments and from serving others. This church has shown me the path to happiness and made me a better person.

How I live my faith

My faith is woven into the fabric of my life. It is simply part of who I am. Whether working, relaxing or attending church, I am the same person. How I live my faith is by being a good father, a helpful neighbor, and an available friend. I try to make a difference every day and to be involved in my community and in the lives of those who surround me.
