Hi I'm Andrew

I am a graphic designer, a husband, a dad, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I recently graduated from Brigham Young University in Graphic Design. Now I work in Amsterdam as a designer. 4 years ago, I was married to the girl of my dreams and we have a cute baby boy named Colin. I love art, music, movies and having fun with my family and friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because it makes me happy. The best way I have found to have a balanced and happy life is living the teachings of Jesus. I am a mormon because I love other people, and it makes me happy to be kind to others and serve them.

How I live my faith

Every day I do my best to be a good person. To me, believing in Jesus Christ means trying to love other people and help them however you can. I live my faith by doing my best to follow God's commandments and trying to share his love with my family and the people around me.

What are Mormon church services like? Are visitors allowed at church meetings? Can I attend church?

Andrew
Visitors are more than welcome to come to mormon churches. Mormon Church service is nice, peaceful and family oriented. For an hour we sit together and take the bread and water and listen to a few members of the congregation give prepared talks on gospel subjects. Then there is an hour where we break into smaller classes and have lessons on Christ and his teachings. For the final hour, the men meet together and the women meet together to strengthen each other and talk about how we can serve our spouses better and follow the Lord. Show more Show less

Who chooses the Mormon prophet?

Andrew
Well this is something really special about the church. The mormon prophet is chosen by the Lord himself - just as in days of old. In the passed, men like Moses and Noah were called by God to lead the people and help them with the troubles of their day and age. Today in our day, God calls prophets to help us with the problems that face us now. In Hebrews, the bible teaches: " And no man taketh this ahonour unto himself, but he that is called of God, as was Aaron." Since Joseph smith, prophets of the Mormon church have been divinely selected, and have not been men who elected themselves to be leaders. Show more Show less
