Hi I'm Rafel Gonzalez

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 52 years old I am happy married to a wonderful girl who to me is an angel and a wonderful mother to our 3 sons. I am a nurse for the past 27 years, work in a orthopedic surgical center for the past 20 years. I enjoy playing golf when I can get out especially with my boys. I am an assistant venturing scout leader for at least 9 years, I enjoy going out with the young men and see them grow to become Eagle scouts. Snow caves is not my favorite camps. I have work outside the country with a medical group doing surgery to children and adults with cleft lips and palates, I enjoy serving those in need that are less fortunate

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in Mexico my parents were converts to the LDS church and so I was nourished with the gospel from the very start. As I grew older and could understand more about the doctrine and live by the gospel principles my testimony grew and the Holy Ghost testified to me that the Gospel was true and that I needed to keep the faith and keep the commandments. I have a testimony that this church is true, that we have a living prophet that leads this church under the direction of Jesus Christ. I also know that the Book Of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ as he guided the people here in this American continent, its teachings are clear and simple and help us understand the Bible better and helps come closer to the Lord.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by the every day things I do, like always being on the look out for opportunities for serving others. being patient and always remembering that we are all beggars and depend for everything from the Lord, doing good to others is a good thing. Being a scout leader I help the young men understand their duty to serve and help them grow. I have 4 families in my neighborhood that I am responsible to look out for their temporal and spiritual needs and in a monthly basis I visit them and see that they are doing well , I can contact them more often if the need arise. As a family we meet together on a weekly basis and study the scriptures and pray and sing. We do have family prayer and scripture reading daily.
