Hi I'm Cory

I grew up around the world. I'm a dedicated student and friend. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a military family, and so I spent much of my time overseas. I spent my pre-elementary and early elementary school years in Japan, my highschool years in Singapore, and now I'm spending my time as a full-time missionary in Taiwan. Before my mission I sudied Mechanical Engineering at BYU. I love playing sports (rugby, football, and Frisbee to name a few) and doing math.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I was raised in a wonderful Mormon family, with parents who taught me to live and love the Gospel of Jesus Christ. More than that, I am a Mormon because I have prayed to know the truth of this Church for myself, and I have received an answer to that fervent prayer. I have a strong, and ever growing, testimony of Jesus Christ's essential role in my eternal salvation, and am eternally grateful for His love and patience for me. I know that lasting happiness in this life can only be had by obeying the commandments of God.

How I live my faith

I am currently living my faith to the fullest as a missionary in Taiwan. I spend all day every day in the hectic streets of Taipei telling others about the happiness and peace I've found in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I live my faith in a day-to-day way by reading the word of God as found in all forms of scripture. I pray to my Father in Heaven and I go to church services to renew my covenant relationships with Him. I think one of the biggest ways that I live my religion is by constantly trying to improve myself and who I am through repentance, learning, and experience. Service and friendship are also important ways that I try to live a 'Mormon' life.
