Hi I'm Natalie

I'm a web expert, new mom, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Hi! I'm Natalie! I'm a web designer who loves to read. I enjoy chocolate-dipped strawberries, Angela Lansbury movies, and practicing yoga. I love to travel; living in Spain for a school year was one of the highlights of my life. The world's such an exciting place, and I love learning more about it!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up believing that Jesus Christ loved me; it was never something I felt I had to learn. I knew that since He loved me, He would want me to be happy, and so I tried my best to live His commandments. I knew He wouldn't give them if they weren't meant to help us. As I followed His teachings in the scriptures and those that came from the mouth of the Prophet of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, I felt to Holy Spirit telling me that the teachings were true. One day, when I was on a study abroad and was feeling homesick and lonely, I read about prayer in The Book of Mormon. As I started to pray about what I'd read, I felt something powerful telling me that Jesus Christ lives, and that He'd given The Book of Mormon to the world to testify of His Atonement and grace. I'd read The Book of Mormon multiple times, but after that experience, I knew rather than just believed that it was true. If The Book of Mormon was true, then Joseph Smith really was a prophet of God and restored Christ's true Church to earth. I know that the book is true.

How I live my faith

Being a Christian means much more to me than just going to church on Sunday. Jesus Christ is the center of my life, and so I try to act in a way He would approve of. I get frustrated with myself when I make mistakes, but I know that through His grace I an be forgiven and start over new. I hope I'm becoming a little more like Him every day! Family is so important in Heavenly Father's plan. One of my favorite things to do when I have down time is to research and find out who my ancestors are. In the Church, we believe that we can be baptized in holy temples on behalf of people who never had the opportunity to learn about Jesus. By researching my family's history, I can find my ancestors and give them the blessings of baptism that they didn't get when they were alive. Family research is a lot of work! But I love to teach others how to do it so that they can enjoy it as well.
