Hi I'm Steve

I grew up in Utah. I'm an Eagle Scout & an Assistant Scoutmaster. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm married and have four children. My two boys and I enjoy riding our mountain bikes. We often go out riding on Saturdays. I enjoy reading - my favorite author is John Grisham. I like investing in stocks and learning about new companies and technology. I relish the great outdoors and love to enjoy nature and its beauty.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised as a Mormon. The reason I'm a Mormon is because I have read the Book of Mormon, another testament of Jesus Christ, and prayed about its truthfulness and know that it is the word of God. Additionally, I was married in the Mormon temple where families are sealed together forever, so this gives me great comfort that I will be able to be together with the people I love most beyond this life.

How I live my faith

We set aside every Monday night for family time where we spend time together as a family learning about the gospel of Jesus Christ, playing fun activities, and having snacks. We go to church every Sunday where we learn more about the scriptures, including the Bible. In fact, we are learning more about the New Testament this year in our Sunday school class. Our boys participate in the Boy Scout organization and do a weekly activity with their Scout troop. We also help in our community by serving in local clean-up projects.

What is a ward/stake/branch?

What is the difference between the temple and the church meetinghouse? The church meetinghouse is for regular church worship services held every Sunday for meetings such as Sunday School and Sacrament. The temple is where ordinances are performed as proxies for our ancestors who have passed away. Show more Show less
