Hi I'm Nate Marchant

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a chemical engineering student at BYU from Cincinnati, Ohio. I love tennis and basketball, the paino, and play board and card games

Why I am a Mormon

As a youth growing up in the church I wanted to know whether what my parents was actually true, so I decided to pray about whether what they taught me was true. As I prayed and read the Book of Mormon consistently I received a powerful witness that it was true. It is hard to describe what actually happened, but a feeling came over me and I knew it was and answer to my prayers and that this church was from God.

How I live my faith

I'm in charge of the activities for my single adult (19-25 year old) local church group. We've put on dances, talent shows, a campout, a food fight, and a lot more. I love helping out. Its a blast. I also enjoy knowing the effect my service has on others. There are lots of people who are bored and lonely on Saturday night and if I can make their life exciting I can really make a difference. I also actually really love reading my scriptures and learning how things work in the eternity. I'm an engineer and I always ask why. I want to understand things. Me and my roommate talk about God all the time and I love that I feel confident that there are ways to actually find answers.
