Hi I'm McKelle

I'm a wife, a mom, and a Mormon.

About Me

My favorite thing in life is my family. I love staying up late playing games with extended family when we can and playing all day with my own little family. I especially love to be outside, biking, hiking, picnicing, playing soccer and frisbee or going on walks. I spend most of my time playing with my kids and finishing my college degree through online classes during naptime. I also love to read and quilt.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was about 15 I was struggling to know if God was real. I was raised in the church but my personal testimony hadn't really been developed and due to challenges and trials I was faultering. On a high school trip to Mexico I found myself looking over the most beautiful scene I'd ever seen. I stood with a friend on a cliff overlooking the ocean and I was overwhelmed by the beauty which surpassed any I had ever seen, even in photographs. This scene witnessed the truth of the scripture in Alma 3044 from the Book of Mormon which says "...all things denote there is a God yea, even the earth, and all things that are upon the face of it, yea, and its motion, yea, and also all the planets which move in their regular form do witness that there is a Supreme Creator." In that moment as I looked at this beautiful piece of creation I knew that God was real because the earth, the complexity of a human body, and so many other things upon the earth were too miraculous to be anything other than creations of God. While there are always things that make life hard or that confuse me I hold on to the things that I know are true. I am a Mormon because I know that the church is true and it has brought me so much closer to my Savior and helped me to live my life in a way that brings me happiness.

How I live my faith

I get the opportunity to teach the eleven years olds in my ward, although they often teach me. I love sharing my testimony of the Savior with them in the hopes that when they meet adversity and trials they will know that He is the one that can help them and strengthen them.
