Hi I'm Kristi

I'm a wife, an expectant mother, and one who loves the outdoors. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I’m one who loves to spend time with family and friends, travel the globe, and enjoy the beauty of the outdoors. My husband and I are often found backpacking, hiking, skiing, boating, canyoneering, and our favorite, mountain biking. It has been wonderful sharing so many great memories with him in these adventures. We are now expecting a little addition to our family and can’t wait to be parents. I also have a passion for healthy living. I work for an Integrative Medicine doctor where I have increased my knowledge about how I can care for my body that Heavenly Father has given me. I enjoy reading and applying subjects like nutrition, exercise, and stress management.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church by my wonderful parents who taught me the plan of our Heavenly Father and often bore witness of the truthfulness of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. As I grew up, I learned to recognize Heavenly Father’s love for me though reading the Book of Mormon and personal experiences and trials. I came to know that Jesus Christ is my Savior, Redeemer, and greatest example to follow. By following Christ, I truly come to understand what it means to find joy. I continually draw strength from the knowledge that he lives and is guiding his church today. I’m grateful he has called a living prophet to lead and guide us.

How I live my faith

The gospel is my foundation for everything I do in life. It has made me who I am today. It’s really the day to day things that demonstrate how I live my faith. I love to turn to prayer daily to give thanks, find peace and comfort, and receive direction in my life. I enjoy reading and studying the scriptures. I try hard to follow the example of Jesus Christ in serving others daily. Mostly, I live my faith by trying to keep my thoughts and actions pure and Christ-like. I wish I could say that is easy and always the case, but it’s hard. That is why I’m grateful for the gift of the Holy Ghost, prayer, scriptures, and the blessings of repentance through the sacrifice of our Savior, Jesus Christ. He helps us purify our hearts and become a little better each day. I also attend a ward/congregation each Sunday where I learn more about the gospel of Jesus Christ and enjoy the friendships of ward members. My husband and I are responsible for teaching the new members of our ward and any visitors wanting to learn more about what LDS believe. We love sharing the basic gospel principles of our church and our experiences on how the gospel has blessed our lives. We have a great time in class as visitors and new members ask questions and share their insights and experiences regarding the gospel of Jesus Christ.
