Hi I'm Spencer Dahl

Albuquerque is my home. God, family, friends, music and rugby are my passions. I've found the truth, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Albuquerque New mexico and loved it. My family is spread out through New Mexico, Utah, Arizona, and Illinois. I did a year of college in albuquerque before I left on my mission to Anaheim CA. I'm loving my experience here in Newport Beach, and really growing to love the other missionaries I work with. While in college I played rugby, and enjoyed it. I started my senior year of highschool and fell in love. I love sports, music, food, friends, and family. My friends and family are two of the most important things in my life. I love almost every type of music with a passion. It's my release for stress, anger and nearly everything else. I love BYU football, and will until the day I die. I have 5 good friends on missions, and one leaving in a couple of months. My family and friends are the examples I look uo to every day.

Why I am a Mormon

Growing up I always went to church with my family, but When I was a teenager, I began struggling with whether or not I actually knew this was true for myself, or whether I lived off of the strong testimonies of my parents. After much prayer and thought, I got a very simple and subtle answer that I've always known this was true. The scriptures tell us that a nation without revelation dwindles in unbelief. I've found faith in Christ and his atonement through the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. It's allowed me to know the true nature of God our Eternal Father, and his son Jesus Christ. That is, that they are 2 seperate, distinct individuals with the same purpose....To bring salvation to mankind. The Holy Ghost ministers the truth of their mission unto the hearts of man. It's taken a lot of trial and error, but I'm learning how to recognize and listen to that sweet spirit. I often wondered why so many people attacked out faith, our scriptures, and our culture, and I know that it's because this is true. The pattern has been the same for all time. The truth will be mocked, attacked, deconstructed and torn apart, but it stands. This gospel has stood through thick and thin, and will continue to stand. God lives, and he's still a God of love, mercy, grace and miracles. His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, directs this church through a living prophet, and that is why I am a "Mormon."

How I live my faith

- I keep the word of wisdom (no drugs, alcohol, tea or coffee) - I try my best to love my neighbor - I live the law of chastity (no sexual relations or inappropriate contact outside of marriage) - I try to keep all of Gods Commandments. - I'm serving a two year mission for my church in Anaheim CA.

In whom should we have faith?

Spencer Dahl
We should have faith that it is only through Christ and his atonement that there is sufficient grace that we can be saved after all we can do. We have faith in God, that he is, and that he created all things. Show more Show less

What is the Church’s position on abortion?

Spencer Dahl
Human life is infinitely sacred in the church and for that reason, abortion is not permitted, except in very rare cases where the life of the mother is at stake, or the pregnancy is a result of rape or incest. We know that the life of someone doesn't begin after a trimester, but is one eternal round. Show more Show less
