Hi I'm Rich

I am from Utah. I love my wife and family, the mountains, and learning. I attend medical school in Wisconsin, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the second of six children. I was born in Logan Utah and have lived in the state of Washington, Illinois, Georgia, Utah and Wisconsin. I am the husband of a wonderful wife, and the father of a son. I graduated from Brigham Young University in Provo, UT and I currently attend medical school. I worked in a chemistry laboratory for about a year between schools. I love playing the guitar, playing Foosball and ping-pong, running, hiking, writing, and drawing. I am fluent in Spanish, having studied it in school for nearly seven years and serving a Spanish speaking LDS mission in Georgia. I am an avid reader and enjoy reading everything from fantasy to biography and history to sci-fi. I have an insatiable interest in the history of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that it is true. I have read the Book of Mormon and asked if the book were the word of God. I felt the Spirit speak to my heart and knew that it is true. I also know, by the same power of the Spirit that Christ lives. I feel warm, comfortable and peaceful inside when I read the scriptures, attend Church, think about Christ, and repent. I am a Mormon because it gives me peace and direction in my life.

How I live my faith

Every morning I arise at 6:00 am to study the scriptures, especially the Book of Mormon. I love the word of God and the peace and guidance it brings to my life. I strive to balance school, family and church, putting God first in all I do. I am a Sunday School teacher, and love it. Teaching has been one of the greatest learning experiences of my life. The gospel of Jesus Christ teaches us of our relationship to God and our fellow men, and I have found that when I am right with God, I do much better at being at peace with my fellow man.
