Hi I'm Amy

I grew up in Idaho. Served a mission in Thailand. I am a wife, a mother, a gardener and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to garden and so that is what I studied in College. It is also a bit of how I look at life and raising my children. We are all growing and need nourishment along the way. Without all the essential elements of growth we become withered, stagnent and stunted. With scripture study, prayer, and service our growth possibitlies are endless. So I seek out opportunities to serve others. I also get outside and enjoy nature. Spending time with my family is the greatest of fun whether it be playing games, sports, or enjoying the great outdoors.

Why I am a Mormon

I believe that by following the teachings of Jesus Christ and keeping his commandments, I will return to live eternally with my Heavenly Father. To serve others is to serve Him. It brings the greatest joy I have ever felt. Prayer is my time to talk with Him and learn of Him what it is He would have me do. I can't imagine living my life day to day without this personal, very real relationship with my Father and my Savior. I'm a Mormon because I know Jesus lives. I know that He loves me and longs for me to return to live with Him someday.

How I live my faith

I am a youth leader in my area. I help to teach the girls 12-18 years old. I enjoy participating in planning and putting together activities that are wholesome and entertaining. In our world of turmoil it is nice to be able to create an atmosphere of unity and acceptance. A place to reinforce service, education, and faith as guidelines to a more fulfilling life.

Do Mormons only help Mormons?

No, we like to help everyone around us. We believe that we are all brothers and sisters of our Heavenly Father and that by helping our friends, neighbors, and community, we are doing what Christ would do if he were here. Show more Show less
