Hi I'm Kim.

I love my life, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm the youngest of two, and the only member of the church in my family. I love the outdoors; rock climbing, hiking, running, off-roading, shooting, you name it. I was born and raised in the California Bay Area and have lived in the beautiful state of Idaho for the past 2 years where I study exercise physiology at Brigham Young University-Idaho. I have also been called to serve as a missionary in the Tampa Florida Mission reporting October 16th, 2013 and could not be more excited to serve the Lord and the people of Florida.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it gives me hope and happiness. I lost my mom when I was 16, and I honestly do not know how I would've gotten through it without the church. It gave me hope that I will be able to see her again, that I can have a better life, and that I can make her proud. I was baptized 3 weeks later and have never felt more blessed. I knew I was at the right place from the moment I stepped into church, and that feeling has yet to leave me. I know how the church can change lives for the better, as it has done mine, and that is why I continue to live the gospel, for the hope that I will be able to lead others to the happiness and peace I have been given by it. I see who I am now and who I was before, and can't imagine a better decision I could have made. Besides, lets be real. Being a Mormon is where it's at.

How I live my faith

I have the opportunity each week to set aside my worldly cares, worries, and stresses of life, and submerse myself in the goodness and peace of the gospel at church every week. I talk to my Father in Heaven every day to ask for guidance, strength, comfort, and to thank Him for all that He blesses me with. I read the word of God every day to learn and to feel of His spirit, and I serve others to lessen the burdens they carry. I am so blessed to be able to serve as a missionary of the Lord, to serve His children, and to bring them unto Him where they will find true and everlasting peace. I am dedicating 18 months of my life to help forward His purpose for His children and to show others the way of happiness. I live my faith happily, because it makes me happy.

What do Mormons believe is the purpose of life?

Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints believe that there is a purpose to everyone, that he or she is on this earth for a reason. We believe that along with gaining a physical body to house our spirits, we are here to learn and grow. We are here to learn who we are and the difference between right and wrong. We are here to become the best people we can be and help as many people as we can through this mortal life. We believe that we are here to build families that we can be with for forever, not just until death. Our Heavenly Father knows that this life is going to be hard, and that is why He is there to help us along the way on this earthly journey. He wants us to return to Him one day after we have fulfilled our purpose in this life and have grown to be more like Him. Show more Show less
