Hi I'm Mike

I'm an adverturer, fix my own cars, ride bicycles, and an Engineer.

About Me

I have been on numerous organized bike rides. Sailed with my wife on a three masted schooner. Our family has spent a week on a real wagon train, we grew closer together. I repair my cars, first out of necessity, then as a way to do it myself and still save. I have enjoyed many of the National Parks. I am married and have 5 kids and 6 grand-children and a wife who has encouraged adventure.

Why I am a Mormon

I have come to know that Heavenly Father gave us our bodies that are the home for our spirits. We need to treat our bodies as sacredly as a temple. I know that we keep our bodies pure by keeping impure thing out, like alcohol or tobacco or word or pictures or music that cause us go against God’s will. I know that God loved the people of Noah’s time and the people of Moses’ time. He gave them a prophet to lead them in the righteous ways. I know that God loves us as well and He has given us a prophet to point us to those things that will lead us in righteous paths also. The current prophets have re-emphasized the importance of families, the evils of addictions, the need to be examples of charity.

How I live my faith

As a member of the Mormon Church I have led a group of young men age 14 -18 over a 220 mile bike ride over 4 days. I wanted them to know that they had accomplished something very, very hard. So that when they encountered hard things in their life they could say, “I can do hard things” In planning this adventure there many miraculous experiences that occurred, that I shared with our youth so they knew that our Heavenly Father had allowed us to meet many choice people and to be lifted spiritually. I attend church weekly and am uplifted by it. I look for way that I can serve others the way the Savior spoke of in Matthew 25, “… Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.” I know that as I move from selfishness to serving others that I am drawing closer to my Saviors example, and can feel His influence in my life.
