Hi I'm Michael White

I'm from Southern Alberta, Canada. I say EH! I grew up in the church! I love my family! I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I was born and lived in Calgary until my family moved to a small town called Cardston. I love outdoor activities, pretty much all types. I served a mission for The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-Day Saints in Riverside California. I love sports, and have done many different outdoor sports. I try to work hard so that I am doing the best I can. I want to be the best person I can be. I'm male and enjoy meeting new people. I am the youngest of three and the only boy. I care greatly about my family and friends and will protect them the best I can. My passion is music and I was in band for 6 years. I write music and enjoy participating in musicals. I love to read and find reading to be an adventure. I enjoy spending time with my friends swimming and dancing. I'm the kind of person who goes all out to make a day special for someone no matter the cost. I love making people smile because a smile can say a lot. My friends and I used to make random trips just to get something we wanted from the next town or city over. We enjoy doing spontaneous things and I love keeping life interesting. My future plans are still up in the air though I hope someday to help others and share the Gospel. For now I'm just trusting in God to guide me and help me with life. I have a great faith and have been saved many times. I know He lives and loves me and knows me personally. I hope that someday I can be a great father for my family. Right now my dream is to be a seminary teacher. Semper Fidelis!!

Why I am a Mormon

I did what missionaries challenge investigators to do. I read, prayed, pondered and got my answer that this is Christ's true church restored again on this earth through a prophet called of God to help and guide us and make us truly and eternally happy.

How I live my faith

Every day I try to love and serve everyone. I try to help those in need and try my best to put a smile on everyone's face. I'm doing the best I can to live like Christ teaches, and I am working hard to be the kind of man worthy of marriage and kids. I am working hard to be a mature and wise person so that I can better help those who need my help. I love helping people and I love going to church every sunday, and to the various other activities throughout the week. I live my faith through my actions. Christ made the ultimate sacrifice by dying so we could all live, and so each day I try to be worthy of the sacrifice and I constantly desire to be better.

Are there restrictions based on race or color concerning who can join The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and have the priesthood?

Michael White
There are no race or color restrictions as to who can join The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. There are also no race or color restrictions as to who can have the priesthood in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. An official declaration of the Church states, “every faithful, worthy man in the Church may receive the holy priesthood, with power to exercise its divine authority, and enjoy with his loved ones every blessing that flows therefrom, including the blessings of the temple. Accordingly, all worthy male members of the Church may be ordained to the priesthood without regard for race or color.” Gordon B. Hinckley, prior President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, reaffirmed this principle when speaking to the National Press Club in Washington D.C. “We believe in the old adage that many hands make light work. We have a lay priesthood, and every worthy man is eligible to receive this priesthood.” Show more Show less
