Hi I'm Dawn

I am a mother, daughter of God, Army Wife, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in an LDS family with wonderful, faithful parents who taught me at a young age to make righteous choices and to have faith in the Lord. Because of them, their examples, and teachings I was married in the Mesa, Arizona Temple to my best friend, Ryan, for time and all eternity. We now have 3 beautiful children to raise with the gospel of Jesus Christ in our home. Ryan is a pilot in the US Army, so we have had the opportunity and blessing to move various places. What a wonderful blessing it is to know that no matter where we are in the world we can find a ward or branch to be a part of. I have no doubt that the Lord is a part of our journey and He is watching over us. I am so blessed to be able to stay home with our children and to teach them about our Savior and The Plan of Happiness. Although being a mom isn't the easiest job in the world, I know it is the most important thing I can be doing in this life.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the peace I feel when I think of the covenants I have made and the teachings I have learned. I am a Mormon because I KNOW that families can be together forever as long as I am faithful to those covenants. I am a Mormon because I have felt the guidance of the Holy Ghost in my life. I am a Mormon because I know we have a living prophet on the Earth today who speaks to God. I am a Mormon because I have faith in and a testimony of my Savior, Jesus Christ. I know He and my Heavenly Father appeared to Joseph Smith and that this is the only true church on the Earth. I am a Mormon because I have prayed and have had the Holy Ghost confirm that this is true. Being a Mormon isn't just what I am, it's WHO I am.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith every day just by being a positive influence for my kids. They will learn by my example, whether it be good or bad. I pray each day and night for guidance and patience as to the best way raise each one of my kids. I hope my kids will be able to remember us having family prayer and scriptures each night, even if it wasn't always the most reverent. At church I have been blessed to work with the children in various roles: as a teacher, choir instructor, and piano player. They have such faith and wonderful testimonies, mine grew so much more from being around them. I have also been blessed to organize the visiting teaching program for the women of the ward. Two sisters are assigned to be stewards and to watch over a few other sisters. This program is truly inspired by the Lord and I have seen His hand in directing the companionships. He is truly the head of this church and loves each one of us. He wants what is best for us.
