Hi I'm Jaron

I love my family, I love playing outside, and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I've been a Christian all my life. From the time I was young I remember specific experiences that ignited a faith in God, and a belief that there is a purpose to my life. Right now I'm a college student trying to hop back into the world of education after a two year stay in Dallas Texas. I love to be outdoors, and cant help playing around like I was when I was 6. I just never could get the little kid in me to leave. I enjoy playing a good game of ultimate frisbee, and swimming at the lake. Hiking is something that has always helped me appreciate the beautiful earth around us, and biking is my favorite thinking time. I love living life, and feel like the values that Christ taught are the best guide to find happiness. I still have a lot to learn and lots of goals to reach, but I know I can grow everyday as I apply myself to making good choices.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was five years old I was heading to church one day with my family, and couldn't help but feel this wonderful feeling inside. I remember asking my mom what it was and she told me it was the Holy Spirit. Although my understanding was very simple at that age I have felt that spirit come in and out of my life ever since that time. I have been raised as a Member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, by parents who were raised likewise. Because of the joy I have felt in my life from being exposed to a christian life I have always had faith that the things we were taught were true. I can say though that as I have matured I have gained bit by bit a testimony of the truth's that Christ taught in a very personal way. I also have felt his spirit confirm to me that he has re-established the fundamentals of his Church on the earth through a Prophet. I'd like to say I try to use good reason in the things I choose to do, but also allow what I know, to carry my faith on the things I still don't understand. That's why I am so happy to be a member of Christ restored church. I know I can recieve guidance and answers to my prayers through the Holy Ghost. Knowing that I can learn more and grow as I move on in life makes striving to be like Christ exciting. I am grateful that through him I can have my weaknesses made up.

How I live my faith

I live my life like most people in a lot of ways. I wake up every morning, brush my teeth twice a day, and love to have pizza and watch a movie. I live my faith more in the little choices I make daily. I read the scriptures every morning to try and learn more from the Savior and his teachings. I spend as much time with my brothers as I can because I know that our family will last forever. As I go about my daily activities I filter what I will and will not do through the morals that I know bring spiritual and physical freedom. I have had some awesome opportunities to work with the youth of this world because of my faith. I was able to participate as a counselor for summer youth camps this last year and found it very rewarding to work with young people, facilitating teaching experiences and enjoying important conversations with them. They remind me how much potential for good we have in the world. I also was able to teach a sunday school class with five 14-15 year old teens where we learned together about christ life on earth through the four gospels. They would set weekly goals to help stretch themselves to be more like their savior. I feel like the best way to live my life is by trying to follow Christ. I have a long way to go, but living with faith helps us to do our best.
