Hi I'm Dru

I have a beautiful wife, four great sons and an amazing daughter-in-law. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a United Stats Navy veteran and a college graduate. I joined the Church shortly after getting out of the Navy. I currently work in the computer services field. I enjoy the outdoors, running, photography, fly fishing and doing things with my family. One of my favorite recent adventures was a trip to Africa with one of my sons, who had just served a mission in Uganda for two years. I think two of the greatest games ever devised by the mind of man are baseball and chess.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints because I felt there was something more to life than going to work everyday and drinking beer with my buddies on the weekend. I met the missionaries for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints through a friend and they presented me with a Book of Mormon. I read the book as they asked and prayerfully considered what I had read. The Holy Ghost answered my prayers concerning the validity of the Book of Mormon as another testament of our Savior, and concerning the story of Joseph Smith restoring the Gospel of Jesus Christ in its fullness to the Earth in these last days. I was eventually baptized. Following the Savior through the teachings of the fulness of His Gospel has made all the difference in me being the best person I could possibly be in this life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be follower of the teachings of our Savior every day. When I fall short, I am reminded that I need to try a little harder to be a little better. I feel that by striving to be a better person in my life because of the Savior's example I can help others to strive to be better in their lives as well.
