Hi I'm Ray

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a dad with three kids. I work in the trades servicing building control systems. I love the outdoors, usually mountain biking, hiking or camping and am an avid hunter. I enjoy my friends and my wife and I spend a lot of time with people over at our house or visiting someone in theirs.

Why I am a Mormon

Why I'm a Mormon now is much different then why I became one originally. I was born into a family where both parents were members of this church and I was raised actively as a Mormon. Today I'm a Mormon because I know it to be the gospel of Jesus Christ. The most difficult experiences of my life, which were loosing a son and later my brother were situations I was able to understand and cope with because of my understanding of eternal truths. Today I am a Mormon because it makes me happy.

How I live my faith

I live everyday being served by others and in the service of others. I help to administrate our local congregation. I direct the efforts of others and support men and women who have been asked to organize and run various activities. One of those activities is our youth program, which has young men and young women learning new skills, participating in community service projects and socializing with other similarly interested young people. I also serve as a spiritual leader. I council with people who are having difficult times and need support or advice. I find all of these things to be very rewarding and a crucial part of my life.
