Hi I'm Steve

I grew up in England. I am a traffic consultant. I am also a bishop in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

About Me

I am a family man. My wife and I have two children. We enjoy many family activities together throughout the week and at weekends. On Sundays we attend church together. I am a director of a company specialising in traffic and highways consultancy work. We work throughout the country and assist developers in obtaining planning approval for anything from single dwelling houses to large retail or business parks. I like to keep fit. In my youth I played football and also earned the Duke of Edinburgh´s Award Scheme gold standard. As a young single adult I competed in race-walking events around the country. I represented my county at national level. I don´t race now, but I still walk regularly.

Why I am a Mormon

I remember my parents being baptised into the Mormon Church in 1961. I was just two years old at the time. I grew up as a member of the Church and participated in all the activities organised for the children, youth, and single adults. When I was nineteen I went on a proselyting mission in Scotland. I wanted to tell people that there is a prophet of God on the earth today, just as there was in biblical times. Some years later I met my wife and we were married in the Madrid Spain Temple. I have a personal relationship with my Father in Heaven. I know that I can talk to Him at any time, anywhere. I know that He hears and answers my prayers. I am a Mormon because the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints helps us to lead happy lives, and teaches how we can enjoy and be with our families in the eternal world. I have a conviction that the teachings of the Church are true. They are also good. In this world where there is so much evil, and where there are so many challenges, the Church provides guidance and help for individuals and families.

How I live my faith

I am a leader in my church and enjoy giving of my time freely. We believe that families can be together forever, and I enjoy helping our youth and single adults prepare for the time when they will have the opportunity to attend one of our temples to be married for eternity.
