Hi I'm Tim

I grew up in San Diego, California. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Southern California. I am a Father of four and work for an airline. I enjoy sports and spending time with my family and friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in this church but had to learn for myself that it was the restored Church of Jesus Christ. In reading the Book of Mormon, I felt the power of The Holy Ghost work in me. The last Prophet in The Book of Mormon was named Moroni (the son of Mormon). He offers all who read it a promise that if they read, ponder and pray to our Heavenly Father, that the truth of it will be made manifest to them. I put that promise to the test and learned for myself that The Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ, and that Joseph Smith did indeed restore the Church of Jesus Christ to The Earth. Thomas S. Monson is our Prophet today. I testify to you that Jesus Christ leads this church. He died for all of us and took upon him all the sins of the world. If we accept Him and follow His example, we will once again be able to return to the presence of our Heavenly Father. I invite all of you to come unto Him. Please take the time to read The Book of Mormon and pray about it. Talk to your Mormon neighbors. They will be so excited to answer any questions you might have.

How I live my faith

Since I work with so many people around the world, I enjoy sharing my beliefs. I attend church regularly, abide by the teachings of Jesus Christ and treat others with respect. I was recently called as the Sports director for my congregation so I get to organize many sporting events. I am a home teacher as well which means I get to visit several families in my neighborhood each month to share a message, and make sure they are doing well.

You can go to LDS.org and find out where the nearest church is to you. It will tell you when they meet. Everyone is always welcome. Show more Show less

Why do Mormons perform baptisms for the dead?

Tim
As the scriptures teach us that the worth of souls is great. We believe that even those who came before us deserve the opportunity to receive the blessings of the gospel of Jesus Christ. In the Temple we are able to serve our ancestors by performing all the ordinances of the gospel in their behalf. Show more Show less
