Hi I'm Linda

I am blessed to be a wife, a mother of 5 children, grandmother of 8 grandchildren, and a Marriage Family Therapist. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born the third child and youngest to a father that joined the church a few years before I joined the family. I remeber being 3 years old when my mother was baptised. I learned to serve others and love Heavenly Father through my dad's example. In our small branch in Michigan I remember setting up the chairs and putting out the books and things before church each week. I originally lived in Michigan and at age 11 moved to California. In California there were many more members and I attended early morning seminary class, girls camp and many youth activites that helped me gain my own testimony of Jesus Christ, Father in Heaven, the Prophet, and the Book of Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Linda Marston, I am, a lover of truth and learning in life’s journey, and a Marriage Family Therapist. I was raised of goodly parents that taught me about Jesus Christ and good moral values to use each day. I have been blessed to find a marriage partner with a respect for the work and joys raising a family, while teaching these same values. I am also privileged to have an education that helps me to fulfill the measure of my creation in this life and render service to God’s children. I believe we came on this earth’s journey to learn, grow and become more like our Father in Heaven. He sent us the scriptures as tools to help us grow more Christ like so we can come back to him. Father sent us here in families, so we could serve one another and be obedient to the plan of happiness. Families are ordained of God. In my work, I support families in finding ways to live together in peace and happiness. I believe families will be together throughout all eternity, so it is worth the work and investment in this life, to learn how to live together in love and support. I am glad to live at this time on the earth, a woman, a wife, a mother, and a child of God. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I am a Mormon

How I live my faith

Today, I am blessed in many ways by my membership in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I have been taught since my youth to live the word of wisdom, a health and safety law that God revealed to the Prophet. Because of the teachings of the church, I have avoided many things, like alcohol, illegal drugs, tobacco, and other disrespectful ways of treating my body and spirit. I love others and consider them my brothers and sisiters, which gives my life a fullness of purpose. I serve as a food stroage specialist and help myself and others to store foods for lean times and be obediant to what our Father asks of us. I live close to the Sacramento Temple and often attend it to serve others and learn more about God's plan of happiness for us here on earth and thougout all eternity. I would not be as happy and purposeful in my life without so many of the teachings I am privilaged to know . One teaching is that marrige is of God and eternal families are real and important to God's plan of happiness. I pray each day to be guided in my life by the spirit of our Father in Heaven and I know that he inspires me to do what is right and loves me. When I have trials in my life, like that of our son's death, I am gounded and supported by the teachings of God. This support comes from knowing we are an eternal family, the support of my church brothers and sisters, and that I will surely see my son again. I read the scriptures, including the book of Mormon, and know through the witness of the Holy Ghost that they are another Testimant of Jesus Christ and his sacrifice and attonement for you and me. I am truely greatful for so many blessings in my life, they are available to all that choose to live his plan. I believe that each day as we desire to do right and choose to follow God's plan for us, we will grow, be happy and some day return to live with him because we our his children and love him as he loves us.
