Hi I'm Steven

I'm a Latter-Day Saint, meaning I am a member of the Church Of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

About Me

I am currently 57 years old, and a practicing Physical Therapist. My wife and I have three children and are in the process of adopting one or two more. I love music, reading world classics, traveling and outdoors activities.

Why I am a Mormon

I searched for years for a religion, philosophy or organization which would provide comprehensive, objective spiritual truth, and which could provide a tested way to reach and fulfill the highest potential in all of us. I was always certain it existed. But all of the various forms which I investigated always fell short, sooner or later lacking the objectivity and universality which would be necessary. Two Mormon missionaries arrived at my door in 1980, and over a period of eight months of instruction, study and practice I began to think I may have finally found the truth. I accepted the covenant of baptism from the Lord Jesus Christ, administered through the Aaronic Priesthood. Now, 31 years later, I continue to grow in the fulness of the restored gospel and have never regretted my decision to join the authorized Church of the true Lamb of God, Jesus Christ, Son of our Everlasting Father.

How I live my faith

Frequent prayer, daily scripture reading and study, service to my fellow man, complete fidelity in my marriage, devotion to my family, obedience to the commandments to the best of my ability and repentance and reconciliation when I fall short, relying on the merits and power of Jesus Christ "the author and finisher of our faith." --Hebrews chapter12, verse 2.

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

It is spiritual knowledge of truth. It may be about matters physical or spiritual in nature. It is received to our spirit through the Holy Spirit, in answer to sincere and earnest seeking, given to those who are ready to fully accept, honor and live it. Show more Show less
