Hi I'm Richard

I grew up on a dairy farm in Montana. I moved to Utah at age 29 to find an LDS wife, and have really enjoyed it here.

About Me

I'm a 60-year-old father of 4 and a family man. I recently retired from the Federal Government as a government loan specialist providing government guarantees on commercial business loans in rural areas. I am currently substitute school teaching while searching for a 2nd career. I am a veteran and served active duty for 3 years in the U.S. Army and about 16 years in the Utah Army National Guard as a generator mechanic and cook. My hobbies include gardening, hunting, fishing, and flying radio-controlled airplanes.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have been raised in the LDS church and have tested its principles and found them to be wholesome and good. I have found that my active membership in the church brings me great joy and happiness and keeps me out of trouble. I married a faithful LDS girl in the temple so we could raise our family together in the faith. We are all active in the church and enjoy the knowledge that we can be together forever as a family unit. I have studied the doctrines of the church in great detail and know they are true. I respect other people's beliefs and their right to follow them, and I also know that the LDS church can offer them additional happiness in their lives by learning and following its teachings.

How I live my faith

I attend church meetings each week, serve my fellow men, and try to live the Gospel of Jesus Christ as revealed in the scriptures and taught by modern day prophets.
