Hi I'm Katrina

I'm a wife and mom. Cooking is my passion. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I never know how to begin an "about me" section.... I'm the youngest sibling of seven and love spending time with my family. Some of my happiest moments have been with my parents and siblings. I grew up in the Seattle area and the longer that I spend away from the Pacific Northwest, the more I'm convinced that it's the best place on earth, even if it is a little soggy. I'm the youngest of seven in a really great family and have been married to a wonderful man for four years. We've been blessed with two children so far. Besides my family, who makes up a big part of who I am, I'm passionate about food. I love to cook and I love feeding people, and that includes me! I'll spend a lot of my free time in the kitchen. It's my most frequented room in my home. Also, music has always been an integral part of my growing up life in my family and, as a result, has become very important to me. I love to sing and play the piano. Beyond the home, I really love to hike, swim, and, when I get the chance, water ski. I love the Pacific Northwest and miss the weather there. That's my life in a nutshell: family, food, and fun!

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in a faithful home by wonderful parents who were baptized members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in their young adult lives. Their examples helped establish a foundation for me as a christian and Latter-day Saint. My life has been shaped by the positive experiences I had in my youth and by my personal commitment to the gospel of Jesus Christ. Because of the influences around me in my home and church programs, I knew how to find a testimony for myself. Through prayer, scripture study, obedience to the commandments of God, and careful listening for answers to my prayers, I know that the gospel of Jesus Christ has been restored and is found in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

How I live my faith

Living my faith is a constant choice with great returns. I work every day to be obedient to God's commandments, to find ways to serve others, and to pray often. Because Heavenly Father loves me, He's given me commandments to live by so I can be happier. I've found that when I try to live God's commandments every When I pray in the morning and throughout the day, I feel like my day just goes better. I am reminded that I am a child of God, a loving Father in Heaven, and that He cares what I do with my life. Knowing this helps me make better decisions and helps me see more clearly the blessings in my life.
