Hi I'm Jesse

I am a student. I love sports and I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a middle child of three. I have two brothers. Growing up we had a fun time, probably driving my mom crazy sometimes. I grew up in a small town in Kansas. Nobody lived close to us so my brothers and I would just go have fun. We would go play basketball alot, or go hang out at our property. Growing up my family has always been a huge part of my life. Each year we make home made rootbeer as a family during Christmas time. We always had a family night growing up. It was difficult sometimes when we were in high school because of crazy schedules with sports, and homework. My parents were persitent on having a family night and it really has been a blessing. Like most brothers we have our diffrences but having our family activites we became really close. Which is why I am so grateful for God's plan for eternal families. I am attending university where I am studying Animal Science. I'm nobody special, I just try do the right thing. I enjoy working hard on things to see the accomplishment. It just like in the way we live our lives if we work hard to do what God wants us to do we can see the blessings he gives us.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up as a member. Like most people though I needed to find out for myself. When I was out at college, I was feeling run down and just wanted to know that God loved me. I remember sitting down one afternoon and reading the scriptures. As I read I felt this amazing feeling of peace and love that came over me. At that moment I knew that God was aware of me and my trials. He loved me and wanted the best for me. As I continue reading the scriptures and praying, I can feel Gods love more in my life and know that he has a plan for me. A plan that allows me and my family to be together forever.

How I live my faith

I live my faith the best I can. I think the best way to show ones faith is by living it and being an example. When people see the light of Christ in someone they will be drawn to them, or notice something is diffrent about them. I am serving a mission in Canada where I am teaching wonderful people about God's plan for us and our families. Also about the Book of Mormon and living prophets, and how they can help us stay on the right course to return to our Father In Heaven, and live with them for all eternity.

Why is family so important to Mormons?

Jesse
Family is so important to us because it is the central unit in time and all eternity. It is a place where we can learn and grow in a safe environment and where we learn about Jesus Christ. God's plan for the family is more then just a temarary thing in this life but continues through all eternity. The way to do that is by following Christ example so that we can live with our families forever. Show more Show less
