Hi I'm Jill

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Well what to say, thats a good start right there. Currently I am serving as a full time missionary in the Texas Fort Worth Mission. I've been a full time college student, graduated from College with my bachelors in History and a minor in International Studies, well about a year and half ago. I love anthropology and anything that has to do with human nature and their habits, that make up their culture. I love Cultures! Okay that is an understatement, but I really do love cultures, and how they were created, and what kind of cultures are being created now. I've been on my mission for about a year. During this time I have grown soo much. I have lost loved ones, and I have gained loved ones. I'm from the great state of Wyoming.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church, but growing up I was able to live in a town where I was able to see the advantages, to being involved in the church. I found that being a member was not necessarily easy, but the results were worth it. I continued to read, and to learn from the book of mormon, and eventually came to the knowlege that this church was true. In a town of ten thousand it's easy to say yeah it's small town, but taking into account all that my parents have shown me, and what others continue to show me, I have come to terms that this gospel is true. I had a neighbor once that was into alcohol more then his family, and the way that this addiction ran his life, was such a testimony to me, that we really are children of God, and that we need to treat our families as if they mean everything in the world to us. It's the hardest thing to see someone else's life be effected by someone elses choices. But knowing that God is there to make up for the bad choices we make sometimes is a huge relief, and when others choices affect our lives, we too can turn to our Savior for help and guidance, with the assurance that he will be there every step of the way.

How I live my faith

Well I am currently living my faith by being a full time missionary for the church. Of course this is all voluntary. I knew that I wanted to serve since I was young, but as I got to college I was unsure of that desire, but I knew that this desire was a must. I am currently serving in the Fort Worth Area and have loved seeing the different cultures, from just about anything you can imagine. As a missionary I have been able to serve the older folks in the communities, I have mowed peoples yards, planted flowers, even just been there for them to talk, helped people in tough living situations obtain food, but not only in the physical sense, but in the spirtitual sense, as they read from the Book of Mormon. I have helped countless people move, but most of all it's seeing their lives come into harmony with Gods! I live my life by striving to be the best example I can be, I personally learn from those around me, and I am thankful for that!
