Hi I'm Troy Whittier

I'm from the greatest state ever, Virginia, I'm a Hunter, an athlete and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Southwest Virginia and loved every minute of it. I Grew up on a small farm With mostly beef cattle. I Love every kind of sport, can't say I'm good at it, but I love it. Love hunting and fishing but can't ever catch anything lately. I'm the youngest of eight kids six boys and two girls. It sounds painful but its who I am!

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised LDS but can't say that i have always followed the life style/standards of the church. I am not a member today because my parents or anybody else wants me to be. I am a "mormon" because I have had the Holy Ghost help me know that the Book of Mormon is a true book from God, and I have felt and seen the difference when I live the way God wants me to.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be a Christian. That's always the goal right? I heard a wise man say when someone sees you they should see Christ. I firmly believe that is possible. So the next question is how do i do this? My goal is to help others feel the love of Christ and see the blessings that come from living his commandments. As I pray for opportunities to serve others i see them in my life.

What will the Mormon missionaries talk about when they visit my home?

Troy Whittier
Jesus Christ of course! That is our duty as Christians to help others understand that Jesus Christ is our Savior! and how he has Restored his FULL church today. With all the exact truths that Jesus himself shared.  Show more Show less

What does Mormonism teach regarding baptism?

Troy Whittier
Do it! Just as it says in the bible it is needed to enter into the kingdom of heaven John 3. It's a sign showing God we are trying our best but even more than that it is promising him we will be trying our best and he promises us to bless us especially with his spirit. The thing that most people don't get is that if God has a part in it then you kinda have to have his permission to do it right? So we all need to be baptized by somebody with the proper authority from God. You can even feel the difference in those baptisms. You should try it. Show more Show less
