Hi I'm Rebecca

I grew up in Denmark. I'm a young adventurous wife. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I was born and raised in Denmark to a Danish father and an American mother. Growing up I played classical piano and cello. Apart from that I have always been a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. These three factors often made me feel different among my friends and classmates and my mom always taught me to remember who I am and to be true to that. I know that being true to myself eventually lead me to meeting my husband and being the kind of woman that he wanted to marry. When we got married last year we decided to have the philosophy in our family that anything is possible as long as we work hard to kick open as many doors as possible and to be willing to go wherever we felt would be the best for our family. That philosophy took us first to Hawaii where my husband is now finishing off his degree. We have a lot of different options of where to go next, but truthfully we don't know yet where we will be going a year from now. And I love it! It makes me feel like we're constantly leaving the door open for the best opportunity to walk in.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family where I was taught the gospel and at the arrival of my 8th birthday I chose to be baptized. Despite my being raised in a mormon family I found it important that I learned for myself if the teachings of this church are true. After studying the scripture and asking the if it is true of through sincere prayer I felt a warm peaceful feeling that confirmed the reality of God the father and His love for me, His daughter. Knowing the truth means knowing who I am, and that knowledge brings me happiness every single day.

How I live my faith

Growing up in a community where my family and I were the only mormons around, I've learned to always set a good example through my beliefs and to show who I am through my talents and actions. My faith means so much to me and brings me so much happiness that I wish I could walk out the door and share it with the first person I see and I think the best way of doing that is simply by showing what my faith does to me and how it makes me feel. Throughout my years as a member of the church I have served a lot by being a pianist and organist. The power of music and expressions of faith through song are to me the most powerful and immediate way of feeling God's love for his children. It is such a gift to me that I can share my happiness in my faith through my fingers like that.
