Hi I'm Jordan

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college student, a wrestler, football player, a husband, and a soon-to-be father. I love sports, computers, outdoor activities, writing, and being with family.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because God has His way of doing things, and I want to do them. I believe that if I follow His path, I'll become my best self, and achieve my true potential. There are many paths that supposedly lead to God. What makes this church so special? In the book of Matthew, chapter 7, Jesus tells us how we can know if a prophet is of God or not: "Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them." I truly believe that this is His path, because I see the 'fruits' of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I know that the Book of Mormon is a true account, that it was translated through a young farm-boy (Joseph Smith) by the power of God, and that the subsequent re-establishment of Christ's church did happen. I see the 'fruits' of this church in the person I become when I follow it. I see a world full of solutions, rather than a world full of problems. I see myself changing - becoming better and better, and I am ever grateful for the light and knowledge that I have gained because of this gospel. To you, my friends who read this, I ask: Why not give it a try? I promise that you will experience the good 'fruit' of the gospel of Jesus Christ for yourselves.

How I live my faith

I currently work with cub scouts ages 8-9. I very much enjoy watching them learn, progress, and accomplish new tasks. I have the opportunity to be assigned to various families throughout my area. I serve as their friend and support for any need that they may have. I love to study the words of ancient prophets in the Bible and the Book of Mormon, and apply their teachings in my life. I pray daily, because "a man never stands taller than when he is upon his knees."

What is faith?

Faith is the knowledge of things not seen or necessarily experienced by our five senses. I know certain things even though I cannot see them. To grow our faith in something, we have to try it! The more we experiment with our belief in God, the more we will feel His divine reality, and the stronger our faith becomes. This process of faith works for anything that is true. Show more Show less
