Hi I'm KaylaBlue

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to sing. It is my passion! I also love to dance, I'm learning Shuffle and Jump Style dancing. I love pretty much anything crafty or creative and artistic. I write songs and attempt to play guitar. I'm not that good, yet, but I am still learning. I've been blessed with the most wonderful job ever! I work at the Kirtland, Ohio Historical Sites. It is near the Historic Kirtand, Ohio Temple that was built by Joseph Smith, Hyrum Smith, Brigham Young, and many others. The Kirtland Historic Sites is where the Whitney Store is, and the Whitney Home and the Johnson Inn. I get to clean all these wonderful buildings along with the Johnson Home and Morley Farm! It's like no other feeling being in these buildings and feeling the spirit so strongly every day! So, come visit us here in Kirtland, Ohio and take tours of these awesome places and maybe you'll see me! So, say HI! And my most favorite thing ever is the sun. Sunny days make everything so wonderful. I'm so grateful to my Creator for such a beautiful thing.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I know this Church is true. When I was 14 my mom joined the Church. I was curious and started to read a Book of Mormon. But, my dad feared what he didn't know and took the book away from me and threw it away. Later, when I was 18 I moved to Florida with my mom. She wanted me to go to church with her. I was hesitant because of what my dad had instilled in me. Once, I went I realized there was nothing to fear. In fact, everyone was so loving and friendly. So, I invited the missionaries over to teach me more about the Church. As soon as I heard what they had to share I could feel that it was good. I was baptized two weeks later. I've been a member of the Church for six years now. The more I prioritize Heavenly Father in my life, the more I see His hand in my life. I've been blessed with a wonderful husband, a desire to have a successful family, and a greater confidence in myself. I was not happy in life before I joined the church, before I knew The Plan Of Salvation, before I made Heavenly Father a part of my everyday life. I am a Mormon because this Gospel, the ONE TRUE and COMPLETE Gospel restored in its fullness, when applied and lived, has given me everything that makes me happy in this life. I am a Mormon because I know that the happiness I feel here on Earth is nothing compared to the amazing happiness and peace I will have in Heaven when I live again with my Heavenly Father and brother, Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

Everyday I find it is very important to pray. In the morning and each night. Because my days are not as good if I forget to pray. I pray alone and with my husband. We plan to pray with our children when we have them. I go to church every Sunday. I partake of the sacrament. I teach a Suday school class every Sunday to the 12 and 13 year olds so I plan the leason during the week. Which helps keep me focused on Heavenly Father and his plan for us. When I teach children I realize how important it is to have faith and how special it is to know The Plan of Salvation. I also don't drink coffee or caffinated tea or any alcoholic beverages. Because it has been prophesied in latter days that these substances are harmful to our bodies. And our body is a temple, a gift given to us from God. I want to thank Him for that gift by treating it with respect. I also like to exercise. I think an important part of living my faith is to treat others with respect. To be kind and loving and generous. It's not always easy, but it feels better thank yelling, being mad, or holding grudges. I pray for the ability to love those that are difficult to love. I've made some very good friends this way.
