Hi I'm Denis

I love the people, I love my family and...I'm a Mormon.

About Me

HI, my name is Denis and I'm Italian! I was born in Milan and I've been living in Rome for the last 13 years! Now, how do I know English? Well I've been studying quite a bit and I served my mission in England ELSM Mission and now I live in Rexburg Idaho, to study and I'm majoring in Graphic Design. I'm a senior right now. I like to stay outside, listen to any kind of music, and watch movies! But the thing I like the most is stay with my friends and family. I like to eat cook, and speak different languages. The Lord blessed me with a little gift and I've been blessed to know beside English and Italian, Spanish, French and Portuguese. So if you have any question for me and you speak one of those languages please contact me!

Why I am a Mormon

I’ve actually been a Mormon for all of my life. My dad was raised catholic and my mom was raised simply Christian. They actually met at church the Mormon church and they got married after they get converted. So, yes, I was raised Mormon, but a certain point of my life, when I was 15 pretty much, I started to ask to myself if I really believed in what I had been taught, I started to question if what I was suppose to believe was true. What about if was all a story my parents told me? How could I know that actually Joseph Smith was a prophet and he didn’t invent the story everybody told me to be true? I always knew there was a God and actually at that point of my life I was starting to doubt that too… I needed at that point though to receive a proper answer. I needed to know by myself if that was true or if I had to change my life. I have to say, I didn’t receive an answer right away. Daddy that’s how I like to call our Heavenly Father, most of all after I received the answer I needed and I felt what I felt doesn’t answer always when we want, but of one thing I’m sure He answers when it’s the best time for us to receive an answer. So, to continue the story, after praying and reading a lot, I decided that I had to ask the question “Are you there? And If you are, is this church I’m in true? Or I just wasted 15 years of my life? Please Father, please, tell me if it’s true!” And you know what? I didn’t actually felt that much of a difference. Then one day, on a Sunday, I was at church with my parents and we were attending a testimony meeting basically a meeting where everybody can go on the pulpit and give his testimony about why he believes what he believes… and I felt prompted to go and share my testimony. I was still searching for an answer, but I couldn’t stay still on the chair, I had to go and say something. As I stood there I felt a fire inside my chest and an overwhelming feeling as I was saying “I know that God lives..” and right there I knew.

How I live my faith

I just got called as the Elder's quorum president in my Ward, it's a big calling and I'm still trying to understand what to do and how to do it, but I know I'm not alone. After my mission that I served as I said in England I served as Ward Mission Leader for 4 years in my Ward back home. I love to go out with the missionaries and I love to share with people my experiences and learn from theirs
