Hi I'm Steven Galorath

I grew up in Los Angeles. I am a student of Public Relations, I do Krav Maga and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am from Los Angeles. I am currently studying Public Relations at BYU. I love the beach and being in the ocean even if the water is too cold! I have a huge love for the Book of Mormon because it is the word of God. I also have a huge love for the Bible because it is also the word of God and helps me draw closer to Him. I have a great family with parent who love me and teach me to love God and to always love others. I have four awesome brothers three of which are engineers. I am currently the only non-engineer in the family. We will see what my little brother decides to do! I recently returned from a mission in Alabama and Mississippi. It was an amazing experience where my faith was tested daily but I also grew closer to my Father in Heaven every day. I learned how to be a man of character who was always to true to what he believes.

Why I am a Mormon

I have read the bible from cover to cover. I have read the New Testament several times through and there is only one church which aligns with the New Testament and this is it. On countless occasions I have felt the Spirit testify to me that this is the true Church. When I read the Book of Mormon and pray about it I get the same feeling every time. This Gospel has brought me so much peace and happiness in my life and I want to invite everyone to have that. So I want everyone to do what I did that is, to read the Book of Mormon and ask God if it is true.

How I live my faith

When people ask, "What is your religion?" I proudly tell them I am a Mormon! I live my faith by doing what God has asked us to do. I strive my best to live the commandments and to be firm in the faith and always strong. I am often faced with situations where others would have me not live my standards but I always think to myself, "I will go and do the things which the Lord hath commanded" (1 Nephi 3:7). I work everyday to grow my faith by reading the scriptures and praying. Christ is waiting for us with open arms we just have to go to Him.

Why do you have 12 Apostles? They were just meant to be around for the time of Jesus Christ, not to be replaced with new apostles.

Steven Galorath
If you continue to read the Bible after the four gospels end you will see that the twelve Apostles continued to function even after the Savior was no longer on the earth. Throughout the book of Acts we see the acts of the Apostles. We see that they, by inspiration, chose Matthias to fill the empty slot in the twelve. In the book of Ephesians both in 2:19-20 and 4:11-14 we learn the importance of Apostles. In chapter 2 we learn that they are part of the foundation of the church. In chapter 4 we learn that they exist to keep the doctrine pure, "That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine". Show more Show less
