Hi I'm Scott

I'm from Olympia Washington. I love to rock climb and play Halo. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I am married to the most wonderful woman in the world! She is my best friend and helps me be a better person. I'm the 3rd of 5 children and I was born and raised Washington state. I started rock climbing in high school and it is one of my favorite things to do. I love riding my motorcycle. My Dad and I own a 1993 Kawasaki Ninja ZX6E. I have an amazing family. My two older brothers are married and have kids. I love being an uncle! it's one of my favorite things. my younger sister is 22 and is awesome. I don't think I've ever met a sweeter more forgiving person. My youngest brother is 19 and loves to make videos and play music. He is an inspiration to me in his hard work and ingenuity. My parents have been married about 30 years and are the best parents I could ever ask for. They love each other and are an amazing example of faith, hope, and happiness. My family is the most important thing to me.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in a Home where both my parents were LDS (Mormon). I went to church as a kid because that's what Mom and Dad said to do. as I got older, however, I decided that I needed to find out for myself if this was all true. As I studied the scriptures, prayed, and continued to attend church I eventually received my answer. As I learned as much as I could, I began to realize that I was feeling something really good inside me. Every time I was around the religion and learning about it I had this feeling of peace and joy. It was a warm comfortable feeling inside. As I studied the scriptures I came to find that same feeling described by Paul the Apostle. He says that the spirit feels like, love, joy, and peace. I realized that the feeling I was having was the Holy Ghost testifying to me that these things are true. Since then My faith has only grown stronger and stronger as I've continued to learn about the Savior, Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I attend Brigham Young University - Idaho as a student of Electrical Engineering. I serve as a teacher in my local church congregation and I teach a Sunday School class once a month. Jesus Christ is at the center of everything I teach and believe. I study his life and his teachings so that I can better understand him as the son of God and the savior of the world. I try to emulate Jesus Christ in my interactions with others at school, at work, and in my family. The gospel of Jesus Christ has been more beneficial to me in life than any other single thing. I know Jesus Christ lives and is the savior of all men.

What is the priesthood?

Scott
The priesthood is a gift from our Heavenly Father which gives power and authority to bless the lives of His children and to perform ordinances of salvation such as baptism. Baptism is a means for us to be forgiven of sin. Since Christ is the one who forgives us of sin, if we repent, only someone authorized by God do perform such and ordinance as baptism can do it. This gift is meant to bless the lives of others and is only given to faithful followers of Jesus Christ. Show more Show less
