Hi I'm Meagan

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Southern California, but I am currently away for college. I am studying English with a minor in sociology although I still do not know what I want to do with that; typical for many college students I believe. And like most college students, I struggle in finding a balance between school, work, and play but the older I get the better I am becoming at managing my time. I love sports and I have been active in them all throughout my life. Some of my favorites are soccer, basketball, volleyball, and the high jump. One of my favorite things to do is be outside on a beautiful day playing soccer with some friends. I recently returned from Denver, Colorado where I served as a full-time missionary for the church. It was in Colorado that I fell in love with the latin culture and food. Unfortunatly, I still haven't mastered the art of cooking it, but I am in the process. After much trial and error, I hope to one day be able to cook like the natives.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because God has answered my prayers over and over again that I can't deny the truth. When I read the Book of Mormon with a desire to learn or recieve answers, I feel a peace and calm that I know comes from my father in heaven. In my darkest hours, He has been there to lead and guide me. I am His daughter and I know that I can always turn to Him when I need help.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to become who God would have me become. I don't just want to "do" what I'm supposed to do but I want to "be" who He wants me to be. I pray to see God's children as He sees them. I'm not perfect, but as long as I'm trying to do my best, my savour, Jesus Christ, fills in the gaps. He is my anchor of hope in this crazy world.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

We most definitely do not worship Joseph Smith, but we respect him like the prophets from the Bible. We honor him for being instrumental in restoring Christ's church to the earth. Show more Show less
