Hi I'm Susan

I belong to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I know who I am, I know God's plan, and I'll follow Him in Faith.

About Me

I'm Hmong and I'm short. I see things differently, like the cup is half full, instead of half empty. I am on my way to becoming a pastry chef. I love baking and cooking. Well, everything that involves the kitchen. Its my favorite part of a home. That is the one place that brings everyone together. Family time is the best time. Thanks be to God for them, for He blessed me with the best friends anyone could ever ask for. I whole heartily trust and love my Father in Heaven. I know He listens when I pray, and speaks to me through holy scriptures. Everything that happens to us, whether we like it or not, helps us remember what matters most.

Why I am a Mormon

It is amazing how the Lord truly prepares a way for His children to learn the gospel. My parents came to the States in the late 70's, and was later taught by two wonderful young Sister-Missionaries. With very little English they knew, they were taught using pictures. I know the Spirit touched their hearts, it gave them the understanding in knowing families are forever. I couldn't imagine my life without them, let alone in the life to come. I am thankful for their choices because now I know that families truly can be forever. I know that it is true. Haven't you ever wondered what happens when you die? Or if you will be with your family again? I know I have. God is a Loving Heavenly Father who loves us so much. He wouldn't give us families, and then take them away. All those times of spending together laughing, fighting, loving, forgiving, creating memories with will no longer be lost. It is made possible through the gospel of Jesus Christ. That's why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I'm a teacher in my Ward. Every fourth Sunday I get to share my faith with a group of wonderful women. We have discussion's about how to help ourselves, our families and those all around us. It is great to see how different we all are, but how the gospel unites us. My faith is strengthen in the service that we provide for one another. We have a motto that says, "Charity Never Failith." I stand by that and always, for we do our best to bless the lives of others as the Lord has blessed ours.

What is the Book of Mormon?

The Book of Mormon is another record written by Ancient Prophets just like in the biblical time period. Only it took place in the Ancient Americas. We read it with the Bible. It adds another witness that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God. It helps us to know that there is a God, Jesus Christ is His Son, and they love us so much that they want us to return to live with them again. It contains teachings and examples of people long ago, that can help give light and understanding to us today for those soul searching questions. Show more Show less
