Hi I'm PATRICK

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 43 yrs. old, born in Tiffin,Ohio raised in cleveland, ohio, I was Baptized 6-21-2002 a week after marrying my wife who has been a member since 1988. We are currently in the canton ward of the akron, ohio stake, Since joining the church I have found myself accomplishing things that I wasn't able to before recieving the gift of the holy ghost. I am now semi-retired and living in Canton,oh. where my wife and I spend lot's of time together. I am a handyman by trade and I work for my landlord part time. I spend my spare time making furniture and little usefull gadgets.I study the scriptures alot with my wife and by myself. I've recently begun researching my family tree with the help of the church's family history site. I am currently raising 2 cornsnakes and our children consist of 7 small dogs. You can also learn more about me and my interactions with others I attend church with at my facebook profile and also my facebook page Pcwdoitall Diy Answers. Thanks and God Bless all!

Why I am a Mormon

After having searched most of my adult life for a church that I felt comfortable in I not only found one but also found in my opinion the True Church of our savior Jesus Christ that he organized more than two-thousand years ago and had been reestablished to the world in the early eighteen hundreds. Joseph Smith was the young man chosen by heavenly father to do this. The church is nothing short of wonderful, in that we now have the priesthood authority to perform saving ordinances for both the living and the dead within the peaceful buildings of the Temples constructed and dedicated so that we may help those who did not find the fullness of the restored gossple in their lives here on earth. I am so greatful for all that the church and gospel has brought into my life and made possible for myself and my deceased loved ones, and I am so greatefull to be able to have the authority of the priesthood that Jesus bestowed on his disciples so that I can do the same for others! Now I had the wonderful oppourtunity to be sealed to my family for time and eternity, and so do each and everyone of you, my brethren and sisters! This is my testimony of the church and gosple of our Savior and Heavenly brother Jesus Christ, and I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen!

How I live my faith

As a member of the church I have the privalege to serve in callings such as teaching the gosple to others, visiting members and non-members alike and helping them strengthen their faith. I have also went to the temple to performe saving ordinances for myself, my wife and others who didn't have the oppourtunity in this existence. Teaching and guiding the youth is a Great and Rewarding calling as well, especially when I watch them learn and grow in the gossple. These things are possible and available to all who accept the savior into their lives and become baptized and covenant with the Lord!

Can a husband and wife be together forever? Do Mormons believe that families will live together in heaven?

PATRICK
I can tell anyone that, yes we have ordinances performed within our sacred temples that allow us to be sealed to our spouses and families for time and eternity, because families are essential to Gods plan of salvation for all of us to return to his heavenly kingdom when we leave this life! Can you tell me about Mormon customs: how you dress for church, what holidays you celebrate, etc.?

PATRICK
We really are like everyone else, in that we celebrate all holidays the same as any other family. We gather at church for christmas and thanksgiving dinners, as well as at home on the actual day of the holiday itself. All the men holding the priesthood wear suits every sunday, the ladies wear below the knee skirts and dresses and sometimes slacks. Many of us don't involve ourselves with politics, some do and that's their decision, many of us distance ourselves from pollitics because it draws our ettention away from our families and spouses where it is most important.
