Hi I'm Loretta

I'm a wife, mother, friend, & ward missionary, & I love my Yorkie! I am A Mormon.

About Me

Hi! My name is Iva Loretta Valencia. I was named after my grandmother, Iva Reber. My favorite hobbies are many, but I really enjoy painting village sets for Christmas, scrapbooking, spending time with my hubby and our pup Gummy Bear. I also really enjoy numbers and memorization. I work at a medical billing company coding and billing for Emergency Room doctors. Everything I code has numbers and has to be memorized. I have to say I absolutely love my job!! My husband and I are parents to 3 beautiful children, all of whom passed away as infants and are now living in Heaven. By no means am I perfect, I have many flaws but I do look forward to the day I get to hug and hold our 3 babies again.

Why I am a Mormon

Born in Utah and raised Mormon would be the simplest way to put it. I was baptized at age 8 by my father. Many family and friends were there to give support. I honestly can not remember every detail. But I do remember the feeling of knowing that there was something wonderful awaiting me if I stayed true to myself and Heavenly Father. As I have gotten wiser in years and had multiple challenges and trials, I have come to realize the importance of being a member of our church. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is meant to guide your life here on earth. I know without it I would be lost and not making good decisions. The Gospel has helped my husband and I through many trials in our marriage. Because of the Gospel I know that I will see my babies again, I know that I am a child of God, that I am loved and cared for by Father in Heaven and that if I do what the Gopsel guides us to do I will be prepared for the things life throws at me and for returning to our Father in Heaven with my family. I am a Mormon because I know this church is true.

How I live my faith

Attending church meetings every Sunday, doing my calling to the best of my ability, helping those in need, being forgiving and humble may be a challenge, but I try. These are some of the ways I live my faith. I also enjoy studying the Bible and Book of Mormon, reading church materials such as the Ensign, having daily personal and family prayer and Family Home Evening on Monday nights. Family Home Evening gives my husband and I a chance to study, learn and serve together. We enjoy reading an article out of the Ensign, baking together and delivering the goodies to neighbors, family, and friends. Sometimes we invite family over as well. It is a fun time to get to know others, study and share the Gospel.

What blessings can we receive through the gift of the Holy Ghost?

The Holy Ghost offers us guidance and protection. When we pay close attention to the promptings of the Holy Ghost we are able to make good decisions and often help others in need. When we listen to those promtings our lives are blessed in multiple ways. Such as, comfort, decision making, love, forgiveness, honesty, choosing the right, growing closer to your family and loved ones as well as having a close strong relationship with your Heavenly Father. We are also blessed with the continual companionship and guidance of the Holy Ghost when we listen and act upon those promptings and feelings. Show more Show less
