Hi I'm Daysha

I'm a Black-American Mormon.

About Me

Yes! Black Mormon's do exsist! I remember a time in my life when I thought that this faith was only for whites, but to my surprise there are lots of Mormons of color, shape, sizes, and tongues. I have been a member for about 4 years, and an endowed member for about 1 year and my life has never been better...in fact, its getting better and better everyday!

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because I want to be with my family forever...I mean FOR REAL FOREVER! This FACT is one of the many points that brought me into the church. Though I am not married, one day I will be and I want to be with my husband not just on earth, but for an eternity. I would also want to share that gift with my family.

How I live my faith

I live my faith one day at a time. Though it gets hard sometimes I know I can count of the preisthood to help me if I loose my way. I am not perfect, but through my faith in Jesus Christ as the son of the living God I know that I can attain perfection in my life to come.

Why do Mormons believe in the Bible?

Daysha
As a Mormon, I believe in the Bible because it is a real testiment of Jesus Christ and without it the Book of Mormon would be impossible to understand and vice-versa. The Bible tells of an account before, during, and after some of the events mention on the Book of Mormon, so to get the full picture of our history, doctrines, and ancestry we need to have faith in BOTH testiments of Christ. Mormons believe Jesus Christ is their Savior. Why do we need a Savior?

Daysha
I think...no I KNOW we need savior because without His atonement none of our lives would have meaning. Why have a credit card if you're not willing to pay the debt? In these times, we need the Savior more than even because the world we live in grow apart from Him more and more everyday and it makes it hard to live a good, productive life, so without Him the very thought of happy living would be an impossibility. To what do you attribute the growth of the Church?

Daysha
I sing! Thats my gift!! So by sharing my gift I hope that others feel the spirit and in turn strenghten their faith. Also, but fufilling my calling I know that I am helping to build up Zion. Show more Show less
