Hi I'm Doug

I love my nephews. I love hockey. I'm definitely a Mormon!

About Me

I am currently going to school Utah, studying Sound Recording. Music has been a big part of my life. It has always been a source for finding direction and overcoming obstacles. Hockey is also a passion of mine. I love the sensation of flying I get when I'm skating. Hockey is a team sport that has given me a better understanding of unity, hard work, team building, and leadership. I served a mission for the Church in the Mid-West States including, North & South Dakota, Nebraska, Wyoming, and Minnesota . I love the people there. They are a Bible-loving people. Being with them has a helped increase my love for the Bible.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon today because of a promise that the Book or Mormon has given me. In the Book of Mormon, a man named Moroni taught that if we ask God with real intent, a sincere heart, and having faith in Christ we can know the truth of all things by the power of the Holy Ghost. I decided to take the challenge and ask God about the Book of Mormon and if was something I needed to follow in my life. The answer I recieved from the Holy Ghost came through promptings of peace and assurety that touched deeply in my soul. Every time since that time when I first felt the Holy Ghost I have sought out that feeling in making decisions and as I have done it sincerely I have been given that witness again and again.

How I live my faith

For me, living my faith means doing the simple things each day that make a difference in the end. I strive to live my faith being a good friend to everyone. I am looking forward to be given a responsibility or calling in the Church to continue serving others.
