Hi I'm Jesse

I was born and raised in Utah, I'm a missionary for the Church, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Salt Lake City Utah, lived in Henderson Nevada for 6 years, and spent my time from age 6 to 19 in Utah. Right now I am a missionary for the Church, serving in the Texas Fort Worth Mission. Before my mission i spent my time as a janitor for an elementary school, as well as a tech for a small company based in Provo Utah. I love to sculpt, play D&D, video games, and card games. I love animals, mostly dogs, but also horses. I was raised in the Church, but, contrary to popular opinion, I'm not a robot that says the Church is true just because I was raised in it. I had to come to my own understanding of its truthfulness just as everyone has to.

Why I am a Mormon

Well, I was born into the church, but just as everyone has to, i explored the teachings of the church, read and prayed about the Book of Mormon, and recieved the witness from the Spirit that this is the one true church on the earth today. Due to that witness, I am now a missionary for the church, and have been since November 2009.

How I live my faith

Right now I am living my faith by serving as a missionary for the Church. If I were not a missionary, I would be participating in the Boy Scouts of America program if possible, and if not then just being the best example I can to those I am around.

Why don’t Mormons have paid clergy?

Our Church has no paid clergy because Christ never intended His Church to have a paid clergy. When he was on the earth, in Jerusalem, he received no pay for his ministry, and expected his Apostles to do the same. In the restored Church of Jesus Christ, it is the same organization as when Christ was on the earth 2000 years ago. Show more Show less
