Hi I'm Jaime

I grew up and went to school in California. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy the outdoors, reading and have always enjoyed sports.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was young, I often thought, “I know that there is a God and He has a Son by the name of Jesus Christ.” But beyond that I had no other sure knowledge and very much wanted to know more. While attending Catholic school, I would often ask questions in an effort to learn more but the answers felt empty and so a few years later I had the opportunity to meet two young men dressed in white shirts wearing ties. They were missionaries from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They provided answers to my many questions which brought much peace to my heart. I knew then what the missionaries had, I also wanted. However, my mother would not allow me to become a member of the church until I was older and then still struggled and so when I finally became a member, I was disowned and had to leave home. Some months later while attending college, I received a letter from my mother asking for my forgiveness in her decision to have me leave home and never to come back. I quickly wrote back and expressing my love gratitude for her as my mother and as her son. Since then my life has been enriched by the knowledge of Christ's church.

How I live my faith

As a member, I am asked to visit a few families each month to check on their temporal and spiritual well being. On Sunday I enjoy meeting for about 45 minutes with other men about my age to discuss and teacher each other about the gospel of Jesus Christ. Each day I try to read the scriptures as well as other material such as sermons from our leaders in the church. Each week, our family comes together and we spend time discussing and teaching each other gospel principles to help each of us follow the example our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
